KU Speak Up Challenge 2024 – Final Round Competition (Impromptu Speech): Individual and Team
On Wednesday, August 28, 2024, from 09:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., the final round of the KU Speak Up Challenge 2024 was held at the Meeting Room 10, 10th floor of the Kasetsart Golden Jubilee Administration and Information Center Building, Kasetsart University Bangkhen Campus. The event, organized by the International Affairs Division, Office of the University, was presided over by Associate Professor Dr. Chamaipak Maiklad, Assistant to the President for International Affairs, who delivered the welcoming speech for the final round of the impromptu speech competition. The competition was held under the theme “The Role of Generation S (Sustainability) in Reducing Violent Conflicts and Promoting a Peaceful Society” and featured both individual and group categories.
In the individual category, each contestant was required to deliver a 3-minute impromptu speech in English, while the group category contestants were given 5 minutes for their speeches. The topic for this final round was “The Role of University Students in Dealing with Global Changes and Challenges.”
The results of the competition are as follows:
Individual Category
The Winner is Mr. Wiwit Wongtanakarn, Faculty of Business Administration, received a cash prize of 20,000 THB.
The First-runner up is Miss Sukhuntara Yonto, Faculty of Education, received a cash prize of 15,000 THB.
The Second-runner up is Miss Poonyapha Laocharoenwong, Faculty of Humanities, received a cash prize of 10,000 THB.
Consolation Prizes (2 awards):
– Mr. Ahmad Kosim, Faculty of Agro-Industry
– Miss Achiraya Chaiyo, Faculty of Liberal Arts and Science at Kamphaeng Saen
Each received a cash prize of 2,000 THB.
Team Category
The Winner is Kaijeaw Moo Sub (ไข่เจียวหมูสับ). Team members are Mr. Pichayuth Ketaim; Mr. Jesada Ngamthong; and Mr. Warunchai Phuangthanasan, Faculty of Education, received a cash prize of 20,000 THB.
The First-runner up is KIA. Team members are Miss Kimleangkheng Oeung, Faculty of Management Sciences at Sriracha; Mr. Maung Khin Win, Faculty of Management Sciences at Sriracha; and Miss Avni Bhatnagar, Faculty of Engineering at Sriracha, received a cash prize of 15,000 THB.
The Second-runner up is SMS (Short Message Service). Team members are Miss Hsu Yati Kyaw, Miss May Moe Phyu, and Mr. Soe Win Min, Faculty of Education, received a cash prize of 10,000 THB.
Consolation Prizes (2 awards):
– Team AAY! Miss Ratmanee Sittiwong, Miss Aleena Rujiravilai, and Mr. Yingkhun Noimala, Faculty of Education.
– Team Kin tei nung (กินที่หนึ่ง), Miss Hanan Kamaree, Miss Wan-aulfa Chetae, and Miss Chosita Sontisampan, Faculty of Education.
Each team received a cash prize of 2,000 THB.

The emcee for the final round of the impromptu speech competition was Ms. Methawee Sarnkong, a Foreign Relations Officer from the International Affairs Division.
