The Faculty of Management Sciences from Kasetsart University, Sriracha Campus organized an “Intercultural Communication” Project
On the 3rd of March 2023, 13:00 to 16:00, the Faculty of Management Science from Kasetsart University, Sriracha Campus carried out the project “International Communication”. This project focused on raising the students’ awareness on the significance of multicultural lifestyle, social system, values, and mindsets in order to allow the students to adapt in a diverse society. The project took place in the Theater room in the 4th floor of the Library Building of Kasetsart University, Sriracha Campus.
Cross cultural understanding is one of the 8C skills utilized to develop the “Thai youth 4.0” in order for them to gain skills based on the concept of youth in the 21st Century, an age of multicultural coexistence. The capability to embrace the way of life of people with varying ideas, beliefs, and religions in a single society comes from having a facility for understanding and learning cultures different from their own. The Department for Student Development and Promotion of the Faculty of Management Sciences envisions to prepare the students to be integrated into a multicultural setting; therefore, the department has organized the project to enhance knowledge of multinational cultures that will improve the likelihood of employment and improving life as a citizen of the world.
The project’s orator was Mr. Steven John Bodley, a lecturer with firsthand experience and an expert teacher of English and language communication in multicultural contexts from the Science and Arts Faculty of Burapha University, Chanthaburi Campus.
