Students from Faculty of Management Sciences received an award at ECC Hackathon in a theme of “Low Carbon Society for Sustainable Planet”

In this anniversary celebration event for the 29th years of Kasetsart University, Sriracha campus. The faculty of management sciences congratulate management sciences students that received an award from the ECC Hackathon competition in a theme of “Low Carbon Society for Sustainable Planet” organized by Kasetsart University, Sriracha campus along with the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (DEPA) on August 29, 2024. As a result, students from the faculty of management sciences of both Thai and English program who attended the competition, qualified the last 10 teams and to be awarded as follows.

“BYTE-KARMA team”, received a second runner-up award along with a scholarship worth 10,000 baht

Logistics Management, English program students. “Team 8 (Eight)” received the 2nd honorable mention with Calowlife Application,

is an app which has multifunction to use from, including a step counter that can connect to a smartwatch for accurate step counting, as well as activities and challenges designed to encourage people to exercise more as they engage with the app. There will be coins that increase over time, which can be exchanged for vouchers from our partner stores. Another standout feature is that we provide the recommended calorie intake for our users based on their weight, helping them balance both exercise and healthy eating.

Logistics Management students. Application team “RUK- LAY” received 2 awards, Rising Star Pitching award and AIS Evolution Award was awarded specially from AIS team for voting specifically for Application “RUK- LAY” which has very beneficial standout features.

      The concept of the application is to pull real demand (the actual demand for fish in the ocean, avoiding overfishing, which can be a significant cause of food loss (a major global issue) through the application ‘RUK-LAY. The benefits of this application are to promote healthy eating and well-being for local fishermen by preventing overfishing in the ocean. It enables restaurant operators to receive fresh fish at affordable prices directly from the sea, while also concretely addressing SDGs 1, 12, and 14 in a sustainable manner. Additionally, it genuinely supports the concept of a ‘Low Carbon Society.
